SW Germany | Most parts of Germany and western Europe have been pretty dry this spring. Locally we had ample moisture to grow a good barley crop. Wheat harvest will start within the next ten days, i m awaiting yields 10- 15 % below average. Corn is still looking good. The earlier varietes are mostly tasseled. Have had temperatures in the 90-100 range the whole week and forecast is even hotter with no chance of rain for the next 5 days. We still have some subsoil moisture, but most parts of the country doesn´t. | |
