East central Iowa, Camanche, Iowa
I see a slow but steady increase. This is contingent on a lack of any catastrophic events such as a September freeze. The market is trying to ration a known (old crop) with a potential reduction of the unknown (new crop). I like Darell Good's numbers of ~$4.50.
The market knows that even the good acres have been stressed and that stress will not show up until after pollination when a shallow root system and lack of N will start showing up. Actually, that may not show up until the combines start rolling and yield monitors begin to reveal the ugly truth.........
Ain't farming great?
