land is the trophy wife of AG.

enough money comes from other areas (livestock, seed sales, Gpas money, even outside of ag) that when farmers have money they buy land because its the prettiest and most secure of all agriculture work. The guys trying to make ground work are left shaking their heads...


the cycles based off the past show that: just like a hot but bichy girl... eventually land becomes so ugly that even the outside money doesn't want it... then i suppose as the desire for land fades it will be replaced with a working investment that will stand on its own. 


sometimes just for fun i like to compare land to owning and raising your own hogs... or apartment complexes (which ever one has cleaner tenants) and its amazing the ROI is over 3 times what land is...
 
but hogs and apartments are the ugly working gal... land is the trophy wife.... and we are just a bunch of guys.
