Subject: the inelastic demand curve of corn

sometimes I think we should be spending more time calculating corns elasticity of demand as opposed to looking at charts and thinking we see something that contributes very little to the probability of future price. It is true that the market becomes more elastic when the surplus's are big and shifts when supplies are tight. non the less there needs to be more effort put into an elasticity number for the prediction of price.
