| I have one and love it. The only downsides I've found, are it's hard to move to a different pasture, cattle will dig a hole around it, and the price.
Someone posted a picture on here once of one with some tube steel welded on to the base so they could move it with pallet forks, so that would help with the moving around part. They usually run a sale in the month of January so that helps a little on the price, but won't help you now.
It seems like some of my older cows can't figure out how to give themselves a good coat of permethrin or are just too old to care about flies, but most of the cows are pretty good at getting themselves covered. All of them like to loaf around by it because they know it's a place to go to get relief from flies. That ends up making a big dead spot around it. | |
