Subject: Big track tractor and 43 ft Phillips harrow

Brownville Nebraska
We dry up quite a few acres that way on Missouri river bottom. Have had a Kelly diamond disc but in your situation it's better to hit it twice or three times with Phillips harrow than to have Kelly's diamond disc all balled up out there. Either one can get you stuck but Phillips is lighter. Kelly diamond disc would be better for stubble once dry or if soil has a lot of sand in it. Speed, tracks, horsepower, and a decent place in the field to turn around and clean out harrow every once and a while is a plus. Pull it as fast as you can before it starts to hop harrow.
