Subject: RE: Can I spray Cobra question.

Coles County, Illinois
Two years ago I had resistant waterhemp move in. I sprayed RR which didn't phase them and 10 days later Cadet and RR which killed about 1/2 of the Waterhemp and finally around the 8 of July I went in with a full rate of Cobra and 1% MSO. The temp was mid 80's and dew point around 70. A week later you had to look straight down into the soybean plant to see any green. I had 6 acres left in the sprayer and went into a field that did not have a waterhemp issue and did a test. The Cobra sprayed beans were shorter at harvest but yielded as well as the rows right next to them. I'm no-longer concerned about burning the beans and use FlexStar over all acres. I did hear about some guys that waited until late July to deal with their Waterhemp suffered yield loss.
