Central Nebraska | If they are not too thick the best way to kill them is to cut them off at ground level. I let mine get pretty thick trying to kill them with spray before I found that out! I now have them under control by cutting them.
The leaves are fuzzy like velvet leaf and that makes it harder to get good coverage with herbicide.
If they go to seed (and those in your picture are close) cattle will eat them and spread them all over the pasture.
I heard they are now a noxious weed in Nebraska, Don't know if that's true or not. | |
