Farming in NW Iowa

If your in NW iowa and growing conv your in prime area for growing tofu beans which are the clear hiliumns as they are worth more premium as the protien is typically higher.

So a couple key weeds...

nightshade - some have black berries and some have red berries. Well they stain the seed and the Asians won't use them for soy milk or tofu so your beans get rejected.....

And volunteer corn - that's another hot one as the vol corn kernels have crappy test weight and don't all come off when run threw a cleaner unless you have a color sorter. A good shot of generic select typically takes them out.

Looks like your on the right path. Cobra or ultra blazer with select and either classic or first rate might be a mix that would fry your weeds and give your a safe rotation interval to corn. Might double check their labels for weed size and rates. Classic and first rate are both 9 month rotations to corn.

Thanks for that chart and the link. It's helpful.
