Treynor IA | What kind of terrace, broad base, narrow base, bench? The standpipe has to be in the channel for the water to completely drain out. On a narrow base (hump) terrace you should be able to put the standpipe close to the terrace. There are a lot of bench terraces around here (southwest IA) and some farmers are replacing standpipes with 100 foot or more of drain tile. I have around 10 standpipes I want to replace with that method. | |
