isn't ag 6499 lg's 5618?, if so I don't agree with ya, atleast at what ive seen planting a lot of them two corn..... now channel, lg, wy, f.s., and a few other's, has a few that I would agree with ya on as far as matching ag relients lineup some...
I've never heard 6499 or 5618 is the same as 6206/6208, but I have heard from multiple people it is closely related. (Like same male closely related female or vice versa) and that info could easily all be wrong too...
6208 has gotten big promotion inadvertently ( maybe, maybe not) from Dave Hula and Randy Dowdy from them raising 450-500+ bushel corn using that hybrid. So I can't blame someone for wanting to try it...
As far as the AgriGold (Agreliant) similar version goes... It was a good performer last year, and looked good in plots I saw in 2013. Looks great under multiple management strategies this year as well...
I have it on high and low fertility ground. And in different Nitrogen programs.
Only downfall I've seen is a little bit (2-3 acres of a 15 acre field) got a little lean to it but it stood back up in no time...
