Subject: RE: Liquid fert placement on NH2085 drill (CIH500T)

ontpete - 6/24/2015 05:41 We put a liquid system on our NH2085 drill last fall and I am not 100% happy with the palcement. As you can see from the pics the fert tube sticks about 1" out of the steel tube. A lot of the tubes kink at that point probably stopping the flow or spraying it back. Maybe I should just cut the tube back. Is anybody using a different setup? Is there a seedfirmer with liq tube available for these drills?

As to your last question, yes, Keetons with liquid capability are available, and Exapta has the bracket you need to run them.  However, you also need to upgrade to our closing system to run the full-length Keeton with liquid capability.  For use with the OEM packer wheel, the Keeton must be chopped off and you lose the liquid capability.  Scroll down here for pics of the Ktn with a 1/4" liquid tube routed thru it:  http://www.exapta.com/news/nws_CIH-closing-bracket.pdf
