NE Iowa | I have a neighbor that is always late. I'm in NE Iowa. He has planted both corn and beans after July 4th about 9 out of the last 10 years. A lot of his fields border my pasture so I keep pretty close tabs on it. The stuff planted in the last week of June usually turns out pretty decent and looks like maybe 125-140 corn and 35 beans. It goes downhill pretty quick when you get after the first week of July. I would definitely plant if I were you. | |
