We did a couple decks with travertine pavers.

Travertine is a natural stone. The pavers we used were 1-1/4" thick.

The pavers are set on a base of compacted and leveled sand.

Bugs are never a concern where the patio is, so no need for a real tight enclosure to be able to enjoy the outdoors.
