A 940 is a lot more machine than an 840. They shouldn't run at the same hourly rates, and you can't run anything for $250 nowadays. Maybe a PT.
Someone said in a thread the other day that one way to slowly exit the custom business is to raise your rates. While I believe that is true, it's also true that another way to slowly exit the custom business is to not charge enough. Only difference is the first guy knows he's exiting, and the second one usually doesn't.
