We have several Honda engines and what we have found out is that the carburetor flow does not shut off very well with the vibration when not running, causing the gas flow into the crank case. So now when ever we are in transport we make sure the gas is shut off to the engine. I did talk to a Honda representative and that is how we found out what was happening.

i wondered if that's what was going on, as after I moved about 5 miles on a fairly rough road, grabbed rope and was hydro locked. Opened oil fill plug and quite a bit of diluted oil ran out. Bottom of piston must have been up against the oil.
