| Yes, that is the tried and true method to free a stuck clutch. My brother who has a mobile mechanic business was called by a customer with a similar problem. When he told the fellow how he could fix it he refused to let him do it. My brother ended up buying the tractor from him as the estimate to repair was too much. Long story short, started the tractor to raise the loader. Towed it out to the middle of the yard, started it in low gear, hit the clutch then the brakes and was ready to drive home.
