Keep in mind as was said above, you may be dealing with a time bomb.
With that said I used an epoxy called G-Flex it has held well for several applications including my sprayer and a plastic canoe. Keep in mind surface prep, the G-Flex recommended sanding thru the old flakey surface to good plastic, then run across the area with a propane flame. Seems the flame burns off some of the plastic oils and makes a more adhering surface.
