I would look into the Ubiquiti Airmax line of products. I've installed many of them in situations similar to yours and when correctly configured you will not notice any loss of speed unless you have uber fast internet service (100mb+). It is not a big deal to go 3-4 miles if you have line of site and elevation. If you don't have line of site but have a place to repeat off of you can do that too. I've got one that goes three miles and uses a grain leg in between as they cannot see each other but both can see the grain leg.
Golf nut, would you be willing for a reasonable fee, to help me get something to work. Have been trying to use 2 nanoststion m2 units. Need to span about 1/3 mile, from top of hill, over a canyon to receiver.
Thought i had it working for 100 ft.
Can not get it to work.
Do i need different units?
Not sure where you are located, i am hour west of valentine. I could bring/ ship what i have, or if i was fairly sure it would work, get different units. | |
