Blue Grass (Eastern IA) | I put the AP air high performance cab blower in my 4450. It blows much
Better than the original, but draws too much power. On high it will trip a new 30 amp breaker if the tractor is idling. If the engine is wound up and alternator is keeping the system at 14.5 volts, it usually won't trip. If I throttle down and get out for a minute, when I get back I, it's tripped. When I first installed it, I noticed the wires got hot enough that I could smell them, not smoking, but that hot wire insulation smell. I was hoping the motor would loosen up and turn easier, but I have put 150 hrs on it now, and it's still the same. Yes, I did check the wireing, and it's good. Did I get a bad motor, or am I going to have to go to heavier wire and breaker?
I did not have this problem with original blower, it just got tired.
