Shelburne Ontario Canada | Just replaced the pan that bolts against the back of pickup(joins pickup to the cutter knifebed) it was worn thin on sides and broke off (got patched up last summer and kept driving) then it started ticking real bad ,2 fingers were bent up an dragging on rotor (torch removed and drove on) winter came, i replaced that floorpan , pulled cutterbed all apart , inspected all knife parts , cutterbed pivots everything just like new . Installed al factory shims for centering cutter in exactly as it had bin . I have done many balers in time past and this is a new one for me . 290 bales later there are 2 fingers on back end of the pan hittin rotor again!! Is this from droppin pickup wen there is crop between pan and cutter or is it something mechanical failure ? Anyone seen this as a common prob? ( if it has any thing to do with it - We were baling straw rows behind combine , taking dry corn off with draper head, stalks were shreaded up real fine - baled very nice other wise | |
