What good is it to plant in narrower rows when the plant spacing within the rows exceeds the average row width?
Wouldn't it theoretically be best to have equal spacing both between rows and within the row? At 48k population that works out to 11.43" rows being ideal. Another poster indicated 44k is a tipping point for population, which would mean 11.94" rows. How is going down to an average of 10" row spacing supposed to help?
