Sorry not up on box turtle varieties. He seems to be really brightly colored. If turtles can hurry he was moving as soon as I set him down. I suppose if I had an 80 lb dog barking and digging under a long for me I would be in a hurry too :)
No wonder they are protected up there, rather cold for reptiles
