I haven't used my hoe for probably 7 or 8 years, but I don't want to sell it.
It's the best tool to break up a crust to help corn or beans get out of the ground. You can't do that with a field cultivator. I the right conditions, our prairie soils can develop a hard 2" crust that inhibits emergence.
