NAPA has too many choices. They've got at least 3 or 4 different types of brake cleaner. The stuff in the green can is definitely worthless.

We have Champion's stuff at work, and while I find their lubricants marginally unimpressive, their brake and carburetor cleaner aerosols are still impressive. My fear is that one day they will all get transitioned to an enviro-neutered formula.

The really, really good stuff was flammable. I don't think you can get it anymore. Oddly enough, it's the nonflammable variety that is more dangerous. Intense heat (welding, space heater, open flame) turns the nonflammable formula into noxious gas (phosgene?) whereas the good ol' flammable formula just burned off harmlessly.
