Ontario's middle east | I think we are done. We have quite bit a corn laying flat on the ground from yesterday's frost. Really haven't looked at it yet as it's too early to determine the extent of damage. Corn is 3-4 leaf so I suspect the growing point is still below ground and it will be fine. Up until then our stand was near perfect. We are more so praying for rain. We started planting corn April 30 and ran everyday until Friday. We had one .4" rain event in the middle that kept us out of the seat for half a day turning some wrenches. Planting conditions were great. Beans had moisture at 1.5" depth. It's been a long hard battle but we will catch some rest today cooking some steak and shrimp over at the river hoping your rain moves over here.... And for no replants. I thought it was dry everywhere in ON? Good luck finishing up! | |
