Excellent analogy with some interesting insight. As you noted, beans and bellies(now delisted) do not take prisoners. Agreed, the wheat is showing signs of life chart wise. Something has changed. Soybeans pulled the rug out on Friday's close but with a holiday weekend, caution should be exercised. we need to watch for change of trend over holiday weekends. Corn is caught in the middle. Fundamentally, there is something going on as the soybean crush keeps setting records month after month. In SW Minn and NW IA there have been a couple of both corn and bean fields replanted. Early yet, but crop is slow. My corn has some damaged leaves, looks like frost damage even though we did not get that low last week. It should not matter this early.
