You can head North out of Denver on Hwy 85 through Weld County if you want to see some agriculture. Weld County is the largest and most diverse ag county in the state with most of the vegetable production happening there. You would also see lots of corn, wheat, hay and some sugarbeets.

If you head North, you can check out a couple of the microbreweries in Fort Collins (New Belgium, O'Dell's and Fort Collins Brewery are the main ones). You could also stop into Bruce's Bar in Severance if you are in the mood for Rocky Mountain Oysters.

In Denver, a couple other things you could check out if it is rainy are the Denver Mint in downtown and the Wings Over The Rockies aviation museum at Buckley AFB. Not far from downtown in Cherry Creek is the best burger in town at The Cherry Cricket.
