Subject: RE: Pressure Washer Problem

southern MN
I had that issue with a Karcatur (sp). It acted that way, if I removed the tip and ran water through, put the tip back on it would pressure up once.....

I asked at a couple small engine places in town, and they all looked confused and were just, well can look at it but probably replace the pump we don't do much with them really. Yikes that didnt seem helpful......

So on a whim I searched google with my make and model and 'doesn't pressure up' and low and behold, a fella had a 10 step, diagramed, explanation of how to open up a valve, lube it, and put it back together, and things should work fine.

They have a version of a hyd popit valve in them, I'm sure there's a better term for it. In my case it gummed up with mineral and whatever from the water. I followed that 10 step process, took all of 10 minutes, and pressure washer has worked great the past 2 years again.
