I have gator blades now and they are better than the JD blades but still not too good. My problem is the deck. It is not tall enough to get the lift it needs and does not suck the grass up from where the front tires run over it. I was thinking about using medium lift JD blades. The old JD blades were flat. I have always thought the blade speed was not fast enough on this mower too.
