CNY | As you get older the risk of colon cancer increases, but the risks associated with colonoscopy increase too. I've had three and the procedure was like taking a snooze. Cleaning out before was unpleasant. If you are unsteady and on a walker you will need to live in the bathroom and have assistance for 6 or more hours. The last one at ~72 I had a heckuva time getting my digestion back on track, jumping between constipation, drugs for that and diarrhea. Took about 2 weeks. Has she had it done before and how did that work out? If she has a regular Doc you trust he probably knows best. | |
