Yes he is just like farmland investors who get bailed out by artificially suppressed interest rates every day. I agree there is nothing magic about Buffet. He figured out that any industry that had barriers to competition imposed by big government was going to make money and he has rode that train since 1960. The rail biz is somewhat of a natural monopoly (it sure is here in western Canada) and therefore fits the model.
