Central Kansas | KOMA kept me entertained in the 60's during the evenings harvesting wheat on the harvest run, was really happy to be able to listen to it during the day while we cut wheat in Oklahoma. I had a Oklahoma girlfriend I met on the harvest run and she and I went to the station that was out in front of those 3 towers. That was kind of neat, got to met a couple of DJ's and remember one's last name was Goldman or something like that. Was Charlie Tuna a DJ there or some place else? I was so amazed that the towers were not real tall, though that to go "coast to coast and border to border" that the towers would be real tall! | |
