| Just a matter of time before Kentucky has to vacate its tournament games. In 1996 Calipari led U Mass to the final four with a 35-2 record. A year later NCAA forced them to vacate their tournament wins and pay back over $150,000 in tournament revenue. Same thing happened to U of Memphis in 2008. The Tigers were 38-2 under Calipari when they made the title game. A year late the NCAA took away the Tiger's tournament games and forced them to pay back over $500,000 in tournament revenue. In both instances the NCAA expunged the team's accomplishments from the official record book. Of course Calipari claimed that he didn't know what was going on in both instances. | |
