| If your numbers are correct users of grain are in a world of hurt because I am using the figure of a 13 billion bu crop. We would end up with a .85 billion bu carryout and much higher prices. I am assuming a down year like history shows after big boomer years. The 40 year trend is 162 and we would need a minimum of 91 planted acres to keep our head above water and 92-93 million acres planted to keep the cushion. Of course I am sure traders are using 168 average in their figures and won't budge until weather proves otherwise. | |
