It is potentially a very powerful innovation, but also has some potential pitfalls.

Would you let an insurance company have access to your genome? Would you want the government to have it? Would you want all children tested whilst they were still in the womb?

A lot of very serious ethical questions surround DNA testing.

You state my thought quite well.

There is so much info available in a data base like this that could be used for good or bad things.

Are 'we' as a species able to manage this for the good it can do?

If we refuse to allow it what good for mankind will be lost to our future?

How do we set it up so it is not used for bad purposes?

And of course who gets to decide what is good and what is bad for 'us' as individuals and as a species?

So many questions and decisions, I hope 'we' make the correct ones.
