If the panel was not originally set up for auto reverse, it might cost as much as $1000 to get all the proper parts installed. I have a red panel that was retrofitted that way. In hindsight, I should have just bought a new panel.
If you want it to just auto stop, that's easy and cheap. Just set it to break the safety circuit at the reverser.
