I paid $5000 for a SimAngus at auction 2 weeks ago. Pretty good bull and I'm happy with him, but there were plenty that brought more, and quality dropped considerably when you got under $5000. They had straight Angus at that sale as well, prices weren't any cheaper.

Should add, this was for a yearling.
