Replace the tubes regularly, they wear on the inside and cause spacing issues. New style tubes are rough on the inside to create turbulent flow so the air does not slow down so much at the outer diameter of the tube.

Make sure the seed tube that flows seed into the drum is set low enough, and use tape to seal up the slot in the tube so it won't overfill the drum. Had one get so overfull that beans started blowing around inside the drum, and knocking other seeds out of the pockets.

As said before, a good, new brush properly adjusted.

Make sure drive chains are perfect shape, and everything else driving the drum is smooth, drums with extra dimples for corn, and you might be surprised how good the spacing is.

Keep good discs and firming points, and you will see why they call them Early Riser.

They get a bad rap, but just like any planter good maintenance pays off with good stands. Tough to beat in no till.
