Leesburg, Ohio | Base acre update is pretty simple. FSA gives you a printout with your existing base and your new base. Yes or no. Update or retain old base. What's so complicated about that? If they know you are coming in, they should have the printout ready for you.
Updating yields could take a fair bit of work on your part to gather your (provable) yield history. But if you had crop insurance, that should already be a matter of record on the printouts from your agent.
Took about ten seconds per farm for us to decide on base updates (we retained old bases). Took about two hours at FSA to update yields for all our farm numbers. | |
