Thank you for the Story, Yes I believe you are correct on the German translation. I was involved in relocating and re building an 1853 Log Cabin several years ago . even with our TeleHandler and modern power tools , it was quite a project to put together . The Logs were marked with Colored cattle ear tags ,red on the north wall ,blue on the south,ect .


I know what you mean, I helped with reconstructing a log cabin that was taken apart and moved to our tractor showgrounds a number of years ago, and no matter how you try and keep things organized it never goes together or looks like it did when it stood on the original site.
