You definetley don't want W8 IMO. I went from XP to W8.1 and hated it. Finally gave the W8.1 computer to my daughter & her family. I was able to find a new Dell with W7 Pro. It's much more like XP, though there are a very quirks to get use to. Have had w7Pro for three months now & am very satisfied with it.
