Southeast WI | If you have that speed for dsl and it's basically unlimited usage don't even think of looking further. That speed is fine for most things - only thing to upgrade to would be if you are in town and can get cable tv internet. Check lots of posts the past 6 weeks on here - including my search cause our dsl is slow and I needed more speed. Phone internet was my conclusion for my speed needs - and so I pay another $50 per month for that privilege... That means I pay over $100 per month to have normal 1.5 mbps dsl and 6 gp plan on a Verizon hotspot. The Verizon hotspot gets me 10 to 30 mbps download speeds when I need it. During busy periods of the day dsl will go down to 0.5 mbps and that's horrible. But it's a damn limited amount of data you get on cellular services so I use it sparingly. | |
