SC Wisconsin | Our countertops are also at the end of their life, and I've had the fun of getting granite quotes over the last couple weeks. And of course, since we are doing that my wife suggested we do all our vanities, etc... I'ts been a painful experience. If the difference between granite and laminate is only $1,000 - I'd do it. It's going to add more than that to the value of your home.
For the record, I'd kill to find someone who would install granite for $32. Guess I need to keep looking...
