If you don't have any boundies/data of any kind to do the "exploded view" by selecting all farms or the new field is outside the area of your current fields, I think its easier to use Google Earth and create a polygon. Save your place in Google Earth and export the kmz/kml file. Do a search for a kml/kmz to .shp file converter (there are numerous ones). Convert the file and import into Apex. Personally, I find Google Earth is more user friendly to navigate as the imagery is updated and easier to find a location from a town/landmark and less error messages that I have to navigate around and call Deere on to get a response of "I can't seem to replicate the problem, we will need a backup of your data."
