Subject: RE: Foam filling tractor fronts

Ansonia-Darke County
I work for our county highway department that does that to our mower tractor fronts and they seem to ride fine at road speed. We don't use the tractors when it is really cold of course so I don't know if they would be stiffer and flatspotted from sitting in the winter. In 40 degree plus weather they are fine. Have seem tires run bald, cord showing etc. and still round. Once it wears clear to foam you are done though. Only draw back is they are really heavy. Our tractors are 60 hp fords and they will use used 16" truck tires for fronts and with foam it is almost more than 1 man can load on tailgate of truck by himself
