Pierce county WI | I've got it leased on to a small trucking company. I buy my tabs and report ifta through them. They let me haul for my farm under their authority. I keep my equipment up, and don't get in trouble. I pay insurance by the mile. I run pretty hard in the summer too, and cover some short runs when it's raining in the spring or fall, or if they are in a bind. You have to give and take. In Wisconsin you can license quarterly, but if you just buy the plate for the year, chances are you could at least do some hopper work all year for local farms when you have time. Getting your authority isn't all that hard, I did a few years ago. But it's really nice to let someone else do the dispatch, billing, and paperwork. | |
