central wi | I did a trial a few years back with ESN spread up front with potash vs urea top dressed at about knee high. The esn was used at a rate of 80% of the urea units. This was on irrigated corn and there was virtually no difference. Spreading it at 80% of a normal N rate is about the only way to make it pencil out, and is what the fertilizer dealer told me to do. I haven't used it in the last couple years because I've gone to conservation tillage and I won't spread it without working it in. | |
