southern MN | I have stuck with iOS 7. Your second problem is one I hear a lot of, just how the newer Safari is built from what I hear; a bug to us, a feature from the programmer's side of the story......
Your first problem, forgotten passwords, it must be cleaning out your cookies on the cold start. I won't try to guess where that setting is on a system I'm not running, but I'd look in the Safari settings if I could.
