Subject: Updating Yields Again--Multiple RMA farms in One FSA Farm Number

SE MN Still in Pothole Country
Example. FSA Farm Number is 12345. Farm 12345 has three units for crop insurance purposes. Do you use the simple average of reported yields or the weighted average? Weighted average would be total production of commodity for years 2008-2012 divided by total acres for 2008-2012 for the units that make up the FSA farm number. Simple average would be average of all yields for each crop insurance unit in the FSA farm number. Makes about a one bushel per acre difference for us. Could easily be more in some circumstances.
